What to Expect on Your Tour:
Red Valley & Cavusin: Depart from your hotel to hike 2 km through the famous rock-cut churches of Red Valley. Then, explore the abandoned stone houses and hermitages of old Cavusin village.
Pigeon Valley: After lunch, drive to Pigeon Valley to take in the breathtaking panoramic views.
Underground City: In the afternoon, explore a massive underground settlement where early Christians lived in fear and faith. Originally eight floors deep, you will visit the available four floors, which could once shelter around 5000 people during wartime.
Important Notes: Guests must be able to walk approximately 2 miles over uneven and cobblestone surfaces. Comfortable shoes, a hat, and plenty of sunscreen are recommended. Shuttle services from Kayseri Airport have specific scheduled times.
